Silver Linings Playbook (which got Jennifer Lawrence an easy oscar) doesn´t have anything interesting to say about mental illness or love and is neither funny enough nor engaging enough. I enjoyed parts of the first half of the movie but found the latter part mostly unwatchable. Not even the dance routine was interesting.
David O. Russell has made other more watchable movies like
The Fighter,
I heart Huckabees and
Flirting with Disaster.
